Trees. So many trees

I love Regents Park. I know you know. But i'm just saying it again. Because I really, truly love Regents Park.(Did you catch that?)

It's so purty.

And orange

And red.

Do trees use spray tan?

The park is so calm and peaceful under a clear blue sky.

Well, under any sky.

I will love it however it is.

Sometimes before my shift starts I do the 3.6 miles hexagonal trek around the outer circle to cool down from the day. Not a great idea before a straight 5-10 hours on yo feet; but who cares? It''s soul food. Not to mention natural eye candy for little pocket Zeiss...

Royal Park, you say?

Yeah.

That'll do.

Cheers Clouds

Cheers clouds for making my photos look great. I like you guys when you don't cry raindrops :)

Oat runs in the brilliant London sunshine

These were taken late October to Early November 2013. I am a sucker for the sun between trees and any deep pink leaves catching the light. It's amazing how there's always so many colors around if you look well enough. The pinky tree tops and blue sky were shot on a run back from the local Sainsbury's because we were completely out of oat clusters. Even the emergency backup box was gone.

Oat addiction?

...Me?

Never.

Wink wink

I say local Sainsburys... but its about 2.5 miles each way. I only went to the supermarket so far because I wanted the honey granola with the yellow bag. C'mon, we all have preferences and cravings, no? It was quite a  breeze though. The sky was clear and I had my running leggings on (inside out). The walk's fairly enjoyable. About 3/4 through you hit this park with a huge hill where you can see for another 10 miles. The sun was blaring down in this unreal way. Everything was bright, pretty and promising. I skipped home with my bagful of granola, mindful of the sun circles dancing in between my eyelashes, enjoying the warming dose of Vitamin D.

Pictures can't do justice. They are just so unfair. They look like 2D shots of nature, rather than that gigantic aura of happiness which you try to capture around the space you're floating about in. A couple of these are from a morning walk, but they're happy here so i'll leave them.

Productive afternoon. I came out the other end with a substantial granola refuel and pictures of the sun through the trees. Eat, sleep, repeat (I wish)

Crunch crunch
Yum yum,
Granoly poly...
almond fun!

Dawns

Its shots like these where I realize what a treat cloudless mornings can be. Whilst in the winter, you can easily score a view like these past 8am. Summer asks you to wake up before 5am in order to bag a real look at the sky for the day...October 2013 was a month of beautiful mornings. To me, dawn = crack of sun in a pink and purple sky with the world still sleepy. In winter, dawn is officially delayed (by definition) until this is witnessed.

P.S: Guess which one is the cheeky sunset?

Funny. This was taken on the morning of the giant 'hurricane' sweeping over London. Some people got hit real bad. The sky here speaks for itself though. R.I.P flowerpot.

No day will eve paint the same picture.
Clue ^

I love increasing the brightness of silhouetted photos. It makes the image looks like a classy instagram that manages to capture the frosty, foggy haziness of a beautifully fresh pastel morning.
The sky pulled a moody right about here though. I guess he was fed up of being tamed to the camera, despite the hurricane warnings. Teadrops of  rain clouds?
Crack a smile sky, you know you want to.

Regents Park from Autumn

This goes against all of my OCD style sequencing. I am about to chuck at you, all of my prettiest photos from the past 6 months or so. During this time, I didn't have a blog. I was lazy and busy and confused and indecisive. So, yeah. If these looks super sunny and pretty...if the trees have leaves and the photo looks warm...then chances are it was warm it they taken around August/September. I've put them into clusters grouping the ones taken around the time same.

It feels SO nice to finally post them up on here, rather than leaving them to gather PC dust (or however pixels age) in my jimble jumble jungle of not-so organized folders.

Prepare yourself for the first of about 15 timeless posts, pictures and blissful sun settings.

I have a thing for sun. And clouds. And colors (including black and white)

My only wish would be if I had taken them all on my proper camera! You gotta admit though...the Nokia Lumia (Carl Zeiss lens) didn't do bad at all! ;) #SmartphonePhotography

Regents Park was so pretty in late September:

This was at the Bloombury Farmers market. Every thursday they bring the smell of fresh, sizzling beef patties under large tents. They casually tease a few hundred undergrads on their way to an 11am lecture as they house some of the best looking cheesecakes and baked goodies in London.
These 3 anomalies were taken in Bloomsbury. I had a break during lectures. I stood in the road taking pictures of trees. I saw a friend. She asked what I was doing during the lecture break? "Taking pictures...the trees look great today". I said. "Coffee?" she asked. "Catch you later, the suns still out" and she saved our friendship for another day. (Thank you and sorry)

I don't know why this is called the 'outer circle' of Regents Park. Its actually a hexagon. I under estimate how far it is to the next bend every. single. time. Apparently the circumference of the whole thing is 3.6 miles? That's a rather large hexagon.
